Applied Kinesiology

Applied kinesiology or AK is a safe and non-invasive wellness therapy that uses muscle assessment as a tool for evaluating the neurological function of your body. It utilizes Chinese Medicine principles connecting organ systems and meridians to different muscles. This allows me to assess your body internally using your muscles as the guide. I can also use AK to assess whether the problem is structural, a body part, or organ system. Or Chemical, nutritional need, or toxicity. Or Mental, emotional or energetic. This helps narrow down the cause as well as the solution. I use muscle testing to see which adjustment, supplement, or home therapy will be the best to treat the imbalance in the body. This makes the treatment much more accurate and effective to see the best results.

The following techniques are useful ways that I can treat the imbalance once it is found. This is not an extensive list but just a sampling of some of the things that I use.

Neuro Emotional Technique

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a psycho-emotional therapy based on the physiological foundations of stress-related responses. Situations happen, we have an emotional response and we have a choice. How do we react to that situation? Oftentimes, you will react and instead of taking time to express the emotion, we suppress it, avoid it, try to forget about it and the only option the body has is to store it in tissues. Each organ system has a different emotion that gets stored there. The goal is to identify the emotion and the situation and remove it from the body’s memory and thus resolving the physical problem.

Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a revolutionary treatment method that offers healing from physical and emotional pain and disease. Without the use of needles, this form of acupuncture uses the fingertips to stimulate energy points on the body.

Brain Gym

Brian Gym is an understanding of natural movement patterns and how they relate to learning and performing. They are specific exercises and activities that address the whole body, call the “physical skills of learning and performing.” These exercises are critical to optimal living and learning. We can “learn how to learn” by stabilizing our vestibular balance, grounding our physical structures, and mastering self-calming. Doing so prepares us to master the physical skills required for the mental, cognitive, and language skills necessary for higher-order thinking. When the structural and physical foundations are in place, we experience less tension and stress, enhancing the flow of learning, performing, and communication.
